Hur perfect candidate would be a College Student or College Graduate who is pursuing a Seminary Degree.  He will be well acquainted with the policy and polity of the Southern Baptist Convention and actively involved in ministry or his home church.  Our future MS/C will be a growing Christian demonstrating the ability to communicate his salvation experience.  He will have a deep passion for leading an established student ministry and working with the Children’s Ministry Team in developing and implementing an extended session and activities for interaction and spiritual growth.

 

This is a Bi-vocational position, but for the perfect candidate with a long term commitment, could become a full time position.

Youth Camp '07!

This is our 5th year to return to Camp Maranatha Camp and Conference Center.  It is almost hard to believe that we have been doing this for five years.

Some of you still remember the first year when we stayed in the cabins, ate our meals at the cooks cabins and held all of the Bible studies and worship services at the pavilion.  What a great year that was and the times have just gotten better as the years have gone by.

Our number of students has increased with each year as well.  The first year we had less than twenty and last year the number increased to almost forty.  This year we anticipate a record attendance!

As you will see on the inside of this newsletter, the theme’s each year have been excellent and have challenged us to think about the life which Christ would have us live.  This year’s theme is no different!  We will use Psalm 17:3 as our theme verse: “Though you probe my heart and examine me at night, though you test me, you will find nothing; I have resolved that my mouth will not sin.” (NIV)  Our theme will be Tried and True.
